How the wire works
The relay checks configured feeds approximately every 30 minutes after activation. It keeps recent, dated headlines, removes duplicate URLs, and links to the source. A failed source can retain its previous dated headlines for up to 14 days. The screen shows when the available collection was last refreshed.
The Hacker News cybersecurity publication and Y Combinator’s Hacker News community are separate sources. Community stories link to the discussion where readers can inspect the submitted source and comments.
